In the early morning light, the steaming breath of the wildebeest dances into the long yellow grass of the grasslands. A zebra can be heard calling in the distance as the sun‘s rays play across the landscape, illuminating the magical sandstone ridges that bring a complexity to the landscape.
The soft but harsh “chik-chik” of a busy flock of crested guineafowl foraging at the edge of a dense vegetation patch draws ones attention to the waking of the day. Soon the cicadas will start their cacophony as the day heats up under a glorious Limpopo sky. Many different animals, from insects to the larger mammals call this magical mountain home and are the joy and pride of Sigurwana.
